Yonwoo, a leading cosmetics package company, has been recognized for its eco-friendly technology.

Yonwoo announced on the 19th that he won the Minister of Industry Award and the Head of a Sponsoring Agency Award at the 17th KOREA STAR AWARDS held at KINTEX on the 18th.

'KOREA STAR AWARDS' is the only packaging competition in Korea, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Packaging Technology Center of the Korea Institute of Production Technology. It aims to increase the morale of researchers and increase the competitiveness of the domestic manufacturing industry by discovering and rewarding people who have contributed to the development of the domestic packaging industry.

Eco Up & Down, which won the Minister of Industry Award, is an eco-friendly airless container that has increased reuse and recycling rates. It is characterized by increased convenience so that refill containers can be replaced with simple movements.

"DEW SINGLE COMPACT "won the sponsoring agency's head award. The product consists of eco-friendly PET materials and aluminum plates, making it easy to separate and discharge and 100% recyclable.

Starting with the first award in 2014 at KOREA STAR AWARDS, Yonwoo, who has won more than nine products over the past 10 years, has won the main award for the past three consecutive years.

Yonwoo plans to continue to develop eco-friendly products with a concept that can be recycled 100% by implementing the entire container with a single material.

CEO Park Sang-yong said, "The products awarded are eco-friendly technologies of Yonwoo, result of the accumulated technology and design know-how," adding, "We will make more efforts to develop eco-friendly products as a global total packaging company."

At the same time, Yonwoo is recognized for his R&D achievements, with its Eco Dropper and Airless Pump Monotube products winning innovation awards at the Aerosol & Dispensing Forum (ADF), a Paris packaging exhibition in France earlier this year.
